Early June. Llotja de Mar hosted the 45th anniversary of Lola Casademunt with a runway show titled "La Joya", designed as an absolute tribute to Barcelona. On the catwalk, the collection played with highly enveloping silhouettes inspired by local architecture and textures mimicking Catalan mosaics. But what truly made the show historic was the casting: seeing current faces sharing the runway with Spain's most iconic 90s tops, like Nieves Álvarez and Inés Sastre, was an absolute visual treat.

Living it from backstage had an incredible rhythm. With Jordi Fontanals leading the hair and makeup team, the prep felt almost like a reunion at home. A good group of friends from the industry ended up working side by side—the kind of colleagues you love sharing the high-pressure hours, hairsprays, and behind-the-scenes banter with, all while hearing the party building up just outside.

The aesthetic goal? Creating polished hair with just the right amount of movement to balance out the structured clothing and the collection's intricate beadwork. In the end, lights down, music up, and the work of so many hands coming to life in a few clean, powerful minutes on the runway. A great night of craftsmanship, homegrown fashion, and reconnections.
